Best of the Hollywood Post Alliance Tech Retreat Demos

The HPA Tech Retreat is an informal gathering, in the Palm Springs area, of the top industry-engineering, technical, and creative talent, as well as strategic business leaders focused on technology, from all aspects of digital-cinema, post-production, film, television, video, and related technologies for the exchange of information.

This year the attendees of the HPA Tech Retreat voted Colorfront On-Set Dailies as one of the "Top Demos" on the basis of Innovation, Impact on the Industry and Engineering Excellence.

Colorfront was showing the Winter 2012 version of On-Set Dailies system, introducing real-time 4K display of dailies for motion picture productions using the new generation of digital cinematography cameras. The demo included realtime 4K playback of SONY F65RAW footage on a 56" TVLogic LUM-560W 3840 x 2160 resolution 10-bit display, as well as HFR 60fps playback of ARRIRAW on a Dolby PRM-4200 Professional Reference Display.
