CinePostproduction invests in On-Set Dailies from Colorfront

CinePostproduction invests into multiple seats of Colorfront's newly developed On-Set Dailies (OSD) to improve dailies workflow.

Berlin/Budapest 17 January 2011 - CinePostproduction is one of the largest post-production facilities in Germany, with branches in Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Cologne and Halle. After a thorough search for a professional dailies solution to serve its dynamically expanding business, the company decided to equip all of its facilities with multiple On-Set Dailies systems from Colorfront.

Colorfront's new state of the art digital dailies tool is highly compatible with the latest digital cinema cameras such as ARRI Alexa or RED ONE M-X and increases the speed of any dailies workflow. Two German productions by UFA Cinema GmbH "Niemandsland" and "In the year of the dog" both shot on the ARRI Alexa camera to log C ProRes are processed on OSD at the moment.

"We are delighted to have CinePostproduction become one of the first companies in Europe to adopt On-Set Dailies to improve their dailies pipeline. Their drive to immediately place the system into production and the quality of their feedback makes this an important partnership. Through their purchase of multiple production licenses the collaboration between the companies has been further strengthened." – said Aron Jaszberenyi, managing director of Colorfront.

"We will use the On-Set Dailies tool to greatly streamline our dailies workflow. Whether coming from 16 or 35mm negative, ProRes or RAW format from digital cameras, we are creating multiple deliverables at faster than real-time. Besides the intuitive color grading, and automatic sound syncing features, we were also impressed by the strength of the stereo feature set. We will be taking it on-set as well in our colormog to further aid filmmakers." – said Ivar Beer of CinePostproduction.
